Document completed assignments in a digital format and archive those digital artifacts in MIro and Google Drive.
General Instructions to begin the drawing
Make sure you have applied these customization settings before starting this drawing.
1. Create a new drawing. Select the acad.dwt template (depending on your settings, you may not see the file extension). Then click Open.
2. Save the file as firstinitiallastname XBORDER.dwg (depending on your settings, you may not see the file extension).
3. Format the units.
4. Set the Object Snaps (OSNAPS) as needed and be ready to toggle them on and off as needed.
NOTE: The image below shows the recommended OSNAPS to use. Use the OSNAPS of your choice to be as precise and efficient in completing the assignment.

Name: ABORDER
Color: WHITE (7)
Note: This is an architectural presentation border, not a typical border that you see on construction drawings.
The border will be printed on a 17"x11" sheet. Leave 1/4" margin on all sides. You will add a title that complements the project.
Text height is at your discretion and not to exceed 1/4” height. Justify the title left, center, or right based on your preference.
You will construct polylines for the border lines. The polyline width is at your discretion and should not exceed 1/16”.
The border and text should complement your architectural drawings and not compete for visual attention.
You will use this border for all of your final presentation drawings. You will be able to revise at a later date as needed and based on feedback from your instructor.
6. Watch the step-by-step tutorial to successfully complete your drawing.
