Spoonflower Pattern Research

For this exercise you are asked to find 10 images by searching the Spoonflower website. Spoonfloower is an online company that prints patterns. You can design a pattern and have it printed on fabric or as wallpaper.

You may be drawing one of the patterns so take that into consideration when you make your choices. Keep in mind that the patterns should be repeatable patterns in rows and columns.

Using specific search terms will help to narrow your search. Use the Search bar shown below to search for a subject.

A search for “avocado” produced the following patterns

The following search for “geometric pattern” produced the following results.

This image would work well as a drawing subject because it is relatively simple, has rows and columns, and clear lines.

When you find an image, right-click on it and save it to your computer. No need to change the name of the file, but please make a folder called Pattern Research and put the images in it. This folder contains some examples.
